Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds (about 700g) sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes

  • 1/2 large red onion, grated

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 cup ground walnuts

  • 1/4 cup pomegranate molasses

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • 1 teaspoon Golpar (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the garlic, red onion, walnut, pomegranate molasses, olive oil, cumin, salt, pepper and Golpar (if using). Mix well to create a marinade.

  2. Add the sirloin cubes to the marinade, making sure they are well coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, allowing the flavors to infuse.

  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or prepare charcoal for grilling.

  4. Grill the kebabs for about 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are cooked to your desired level of doneness. The meat should be slightly charred on the outside and juicy on the inside.
